Christopher Anaya serves as a business owner, professor, and Veterans Service Representative.


As a businessman, government employee, and member of the armed forces, Christopher Anaya has engaged in a career serving the people of his country. Mr. Anaya worked in the United States Army as a Sergeant and Administrative Specialist beginning in 1995, where he acquired a diverse set of skills. In this position, Christopher Anaya functioned as the Senior Legal Assistant of his battalion, assisting those in the Judge Adjutant General (JAG) position by interpreting many aspects of military law as well as preparing legal actions and cases. Another role he attained during his military career enabled him to assist at the Military Entrance Processing Station, where he aided medical personnel in assessing applicants' fitness and qualifications. In this position, Christopher Anaya gained important knowledge of medical processes as well as valuable communication and administrative skills. During his time in the Army, he also developed training curriculum and became an expert in assembling correspondence.

After leaving the Army in 2003, Christopher Anaya joined the Human Resources Department at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Anaya was active in many different areas of human resources at the center, such as processing new employee information, working with the payroll department, and conducting orientations, while also ensuring all employees were current with company policy. His next career move brought him to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2004, where he operated as a Service Representative for the United States Social Security Administration. Mr. Anaya learned invaluable abilities in customer service and resolved many issues surrounding benefit claims. In this position, the medical knowledge Mr. Anaya gained in the Army served as a priceless addition to his work, allowing him to ensure all of his customers received the benefits entitled to them.

Christopher Anaya continues his involvement with veterans in his current position at the Department of Veteran Affairs in White River Junction, Vermont, where he still uses previously acquired skills in medical terminology, customer service, and correspondence for the benefit of United States veterans. Recently, Mr. Anaya pursued ongoing education at Saint Leo University, where he completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2011.
